I recently had the pleasure of attending and being part of the coordination for an event featuring Mary Pender Greene as part of my work as Outreach Director for Suffolk LI Mentor and Mentee. Mary was our featured speaker at a session at the Patchogue, NY Library on June 24th. The evening was truly inspiring and I immediately felt an association with Mary, her book and her Virtual Personal Board of Directors (VPBOD) methodology. I have read Mary's book "Creative Mentorship and Career Building Strategies - How to Build Your Own Virtual Personal Board of Directors" with a vengeance and I can say that I totally subscribe to the direction, guidance, inspiration and the powerful information she shares with people of all ages working to jumpstart, advance or invigorate their career.
I would consider myself a disciple of all that the book describes - so much so that I want to pay it forward by being part of helping to spread the VPBOD methodology into the future and with anyone I encounter who is focused on managing and leading their careers. I believe that the tools and strategies described in the book are critical for anyone focused on advancing their career and achieving personal and professional success. This book is a "must read" for successfully navigating all stages of your career.
