Had better reviews with this book so I tried him/her again

Not so big on this author. Had better reviews with this book so I tried him/her again. Still, a pretty lame true crime book. Of course, my heart goes out to the victim, a true victim, but the story was not written well, imho.

Spent way to much time with back story; and not on her story. Very disappointing story construction. Lacking in depth and emotion.

She Survived:Jane

This book is ok. It was a book one reads when they want to pass a few hours of reading. Unfortunately, while I understand the horror of the act of rape, the leading to the feeling of shame and the loneliness she felt at the height of the horrible crime she endured, it did not really get across through the written words of the authors. More in depth of leading up to the crime, the crime itself, more about what took place in regards to her son and how her husband felt when he found out what had taken place, her relatives, etc. maybe a little section on how everyone is doing now, years later. Three stars is all I can give this book, sorry.
