Gaspar González has written for, among others, The Miami Herald, Village Voice Media, and Grantland. His film credits include the PBS documentary Muhammad Ali: Made in Miami. He earned his Ph.D. in American Studies from Yale University.

The best hour you will spend today.

A beautifully written story that will capture your heart from the first line. It's a story of a man's search for the brother he never knew because he was killed in Vietnam seven weeks before the author was born. Poignantly written. You can read it in one sitting and it will be the best thing you did all day.

What a hard life This Cuban mother endured,she work as a maid at nine years old,has her first son at fifteen years old,and the war in Vietnam kill him,( I never understood that war,and they explained to me so many times,) "was the girl in the photo?would have remembered her brother after so many years."? This book will touched you heart,her daughter never give up looking to know more about her brother.Thelma
