I am Lea's sister and, having walked this journey with her, I can confidently testify that her "beingness" during the two year "end of life" process with my parents was a great source of comfort to our entire family. It is exciting to see that our story - from her perspective - is giving that same source of comfort to so many others. However, there are SO many additional dimensions to this book other than my parents story from beginning to end. I frankly "just read" the potions of our childhood, ups and downs, and loss - because I lived it and I also had my own unique perspective of it. However, I reflected and was greatly impacted and inspired by Lea's thought process, concept of "life vision" and practical application of handling any and all circumstances by having that "life vision". She even shares how to create one! Her message benefits anyone who has ANY "circumstances (which means EVERYONE) so I hope people don't get caught up thinking this book is just for people dealing with disability or grief because it is SO not! I am SO appreciative she took the time to honor my parents and chronicle their journey. However, I am even more impressed with who she is and how she communicates with others (both in-person and through her book). It was heart-warming to get this message from my sister (although it was of no surprise to me) "Exciting news...a friend who finished my book bought 10 copies for Mother's Day gifts! She said it's such an uplifting and soulful book and she enjoyed it so much. Right after that, I got an email from another friend wanting 6 copies for Mother's Day! It feels good that my story is inspiring people to share! xoxo"

I loved it

I just finished Wonderfully Human. I loved it! It inspired me to think about "who I will become" when I want to do things in life, instead of getting side tracked by my thoughts. I think differently now about my goals, and think more about my vision - about why I set a goal and who I will become when I reach it, versus just focusing on the goal itself (which is when all my thoughts and doubts start distracting me). I had some resistance to reading the book at first because I thought it was about grief, and I didn't want to "go there", but I was encouraged to read it. It's not at all what I first thought...it was light, inspiring, empowering. There were a couple of moments when I teared up, but not out of sadness...it was a feeling of being deeply touched. It was written in such an authentic way, like she was talking to me. One touching part was when her dad bought her a birthday gift, and all he went through to choose it and get it for her. It was SO sweet. This book has a lot of power in it - it inspires me to take action. I just put it down, and all I can think about is, "Now what?" What do I want in my life? Like the book says...when I start asking life's big questions, the answers will come. I highly recommend this book. I LOVED IT.
