Rough, But True

Mr Freeman, if that is his real name, writes like Archie Bunker talks. In his chapter 12, he wrote "...charging people exuberant amounts over the true cost..." when he clearly meant "...exorbitant amounts." The book reads as if he dictated the text into a computer and simply published the rough draft without even bothering to read it. No spell checking; no editing. The pages are not numbered. There are no footnotes. It is so poorly written it would give an English teacher a severe case of unstoppable shuddering and painful grimacing. From an editing perspective, it's a one star book.
So why give it four stars? Well, let's forgive how he said it, and look at what he said. Freeman has seen through the mendacity that defines the mainstream and put his finger directly upon the hidden sore spot of factual truth that shocks many people, but is nonetheless valid. The United States of America is a corporation under the control of its shareholders. And the politicians are not the shareholders. The politicians are upper level slaves to the wealthy shareholders, and view the public as lower level slaves. Sounds outlandish, right? Well, it does to those people who have mentally dieted in approved, party-line circles for all their lives. It does not sound so outlandish to habitual readers of historical non-fiction.
If you can stand suffering through Freeman's poor grammar and occasionally incoherent sentence structures, the core content of his message is sound and honest. And quite eye-opening for mainstreamers. Despite its flaws, I really did like it.
