One of the best and most fulfilling moments I've had in my adult life was meeting the author, Mrs. Mary Eatmon, recently.
I was totally shocked and found it hard to believe that this lively and attractive lady was 83 years old! I was honored by her presence, and moved by her calming, yet jazzy spirit, and her genuine compassion and ability to inspire a reawakening of faith and purpose in me that I had almost allowed to slip away from my life...
During our discussion, I was happy to hear that she will be releasing an audio book version of her book, very soon. I plan on pre-ordering that, as soon as it's available. Although meeting her was a blast, I was even more excited to learn that Mary is going to allow her readers (myself included) to connect with her, on a more personal basis, through her soon to be launched Inspirational Podcast show, and her Monthly Self-Empowerment Program.
Mary is even developing materials for a stage play based on her "Nine Houses" book. With Mary's hit book, and her plans to launch her Public Speaking Tour for 2015, to discuss the book and not just surviving abuse, but triumphing over it, this blessed, energetic 83 year old can give all of us a lesson on the true meaning of that popular phrase "Keep it Moving..."

Incredible Story- Well written and a must read.

As I read Nine Houses, and learned of the rape and all of the horrible abuses that Mary and her children endured, there was one question that kept leaping out at me from the pages: WHY would anyone marry such a monster after being raped by him? The answers are there but in this particular case one would have to ask 15 year old Mary to get the honest answer and some of the reasons are alluded to in the book. You might also want to ask a psychologist who would label the behavior as Stockholm Syndrome. The fact is Mary is not alone. Over 30,000 women fall victim to S. S. in the way that Mary did.
Once I began to read Mary's story I could not put the book down. It pulled me into the incredible life of this very inspiring and talented woman. Mary faced a lifetime of terror and unimaginable horrors and yet, with her faith in God and love of her children, she has made a life worth living. Mary is now into her 80's and she shows no sign of slowing down.
Her skill as a writer shines through in this book as the story flows nicely and is easy to read.
